Centre for Forestry, Ecology and Wildlife

To become a centre of excellence in the field of forestry ecology and wildlife through improving the conservation of forests, biodiversity, regeneration status, identification of elite accessions and populations of important forest species through molecular research studies for multi-locational trials.

Objectives:

1. To carryout research relevant to DNA barcoding system, ecosystem services, biodiversity conservation in forestry.

2. To conduct research on the endangered species, invasive species, medicinal plants and wildlife to help their conservation and to develop molecular level database for their accurate identification.
